1. (Purpose) The Editorial Board aims to smoothly carry out all matters related to the editing and publication of the Journal of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences.
2. (Composition) The Editorial Board shall consist of the following roles:
1) 1 Editor-in-Chief
2) 1 Deputy Editor-in-Chief
3) Up to 20 Editorial Board members
4) 1 Editorial Secretary
3. (Appointment and Term)
1) (Editor-in-Chief) The Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Editor-in-Chief) shall be appointed by the President of the Agricultural and Life Sciences Research Institute and selected from among its adjunct researchers. The Editor-in-Chief shall serve a two-year term and can be reappointed.
2) (Deputy Editor-in-Chief) The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences (hereinafter referred to as such) shall be appointed by the President of the Agricultural and Life Sciences Research Institute and selected from among its adjunct researchers. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief shall serve a two-year term and can be reappointed.
3) (Editorial Board members) Editorial Board members shall be appointed by the Editor-in-Chief and selected both internally, from among the adjunct researchers at the Agricultural and Life Sciences Research Institute, and externally. Editorial Board members shall serve two-year terms and can be reappointed.
4) (Editorial Secretary) The Editorial Secretary shall be appointed by the Chair of the Editorial Board, with the Administrative Secretary of the Agricultural and Life Sciences Research Institute serving ex officio. The Editorial Secretary shall serve a term of two years and can be reappointed.
5) To ensure continuity of editorial work, the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief shall serve as editors for a period of no more than two years immediately following the end of their terms.
4. (Roles)
1) (Editor-in-Chief)① Oversee the work of the Editorial Board, convene the Board, and serve as the Chair of the Editorial Board.② Recommend editors for submitted articles.
2) (Deputy Editor-in-Chief) Assist the Editor-in-Chief and assume the duties of the Editor-in-Chief in his/her absence.
3) (Editorial Board)① Recommend reviewers for submitted papers.② Establish and amend regulations related to paper submission and review.③ Deliberate and resolve other matters related to the publication of the proceedings.
5. (Operations)
1) The Editorial Board shall act by a majority vote of the members present and a majority of the members voting.
Bylaws
This regulation shall take effect on January 1, 2017 (enacted on January 1, 2017).
This regulation shall take effect on March 10, 2020 (amended on March 10, 2020).
This regulation shall take effect on November 8, 2022 (amended on November 8, 2022).
This regulation shall take effect on July 19, 2023 (amended on July 19, 2023).

- 1.(목적) 편집위원회는 농업생명환경연구지의 편집 및 발간에 관한 제반사항을 원활히 수행하기 위함을 목적으로 한다.
- 2.(구성) 편집위원회는 다음과 같이 구성한다.
- 1)편집위원장 1명
- 2)부편집위원장 1명
- 3)편집위원 20명 이내
- 4)편집간사 1명
- 3.(위촉 및 임기)
- 1)(편집위원장) 농업생명환경연구지 편집위원장 (Editor in chief, 이하 편집위원장)은 농업생명과학연구원 겸임연구원 중에서 농업생명과학연구원장이 위촉한다. 편집위원장의 임기는 2년으로 보장하며, 연임할 수 있다.
- 2)(부편집위원장) 농업생명환경연구지 부편집위원장 (이하 부편집위원장)은 농업생명과학연구원 겸임연구원 중에서 농업생명과학연구원장이 위촉한다. 부편집위원장의 임기는 2년으로 하며, 연임할 수 있다.
- 3)(편집위원) 편집위원은 농업생명과학연구원 겸임연구원 및 외부인사들 중에서 편집위원장이 위촉한다. 편집위원의 임기는 2년으로 하며, 연임할 수 있다.
- 4)(편집간사) 편집간사는 농업생명과학연구원 행정간사를 당연직으로 하여 편집위원장이 위촉한다. 편집간사의 임기는 2년으로 하며, 연임할 수 있다.
- 5)편집 업무의 연속성을 보장하기 위하여 편집위원장과 부편집위원장은 임기가 끝난 직후 2년 이내 동안 편집위원으로 활동한다.
- 4.(기능)
- 1)(편집위원장)
- ① 편집위원장은 편집위원회의 업무를 총괄하고 위원회를 소집하여 편집위원회의 의장이 된다.
- ② 투고된 논문 편집위원 추천
- 2)(부편집위원장) 부편집위원장은 편집위원장을 보좌하며 부재 시 편집위원장의 직무를 대행한다.
- 3)(편집위원회)
- ① 투고된 논문의 심사위원 추천
- ② 논문투고 및 심사와 관련된 규정의 제정 및 개정
- ③ 기타 논문집 발간과 관련된 사항 심의 및 의결
- 5.(운영)
- 1)편집위원회는 과반수 이상의 편집위원 참석과 참석위원의 과반수 이상의 동의로 의결한다.

이 규정은 2017년 01월 01일부터 시행한다 (제정 2017년 01월 01일).
이 규정은 2020년 03월 10일부터 시행한다 (개정 2020년 03월 10일).
이 규정은 2022년 11월 08일부터 시행한다 (개정 2022년 11월 08일).
